Welcoming your baby into the world is one of the most powerful and emotional experiences you’ll ever have. As your birth photographer, my role is to quietly and respectfully document your story—capturing the real, raw, and beautiful moments that unfold as you meet your baby for the very first time.
I’ll join you during active labor and remain by your side through delivery and 1–2 hours postpartum. From the first contractions to first cries, gentle touches to quiet tears, I aim to preserve it all with care and sensitivity.
Every birth is unique—and so is every client. Some want full documentation, while others prefer a more discreet approach. Your comfort and preferences guide the entire experience. And of course, your privacy is always protected—images are never shared without your written consent.
I’m currently completing my doula certification, and optional labor support can be added to your birth package.

On-Call & Communication Guidelines
Thank you for trusting me to capture this once-in-a-lifetime experience. Because birth is unpredictable, here are a few key guidelines to help ensure everything goes smoothly:
Planned Vaginal Delivery or Induction
I will be on call 24/7 from 38–41 weeks gestation. If you’re scheduled for induction or a cesarean, please notify me immediately so I can plan accordingly.

Save this number in both mom and partner’s phones in advance.
When labor begins:
- Contact me as soon as you think you might be in labor—even if it’s the middle of the night or ends up being a false alarm.
- Keep me informed when you leave for the hospital and once you’re admitted.
- During labor checks, update me on dilation progress. I generally plan to arrive when you are around 7cm, depending on how quickly things are moving.
- It typically takes me 45 minutes from your call to arrival.
I will remain with you through delivery and stay 1 hour after birth to capture first interactions, measurements, footprints, and bonding moments.
Scheduled Cesarean Section
If you are having a planned cesarean:
- I’ll arrive 90 minutes before your scheduled time.
- Coverage may include pre-op, delivery (with permission), and post-op moments.
- I will document your experience and baby’s first moments in a photojournalistic style.
Birth Photography FAQs
When should I call you once labor starts?
As soon as you think it may be starting. I’d much rather get a heads-up and it be a false alarm than miss the moment.
What if my labor is long?
Birth sessions include up to 8 hours of coverage. If your birth runs longer, you can add hours at $25/hour.
What if I’m having a C-section?
I can still document your birth story, depending on hospital policy. Let’s talk in advance so we can prepare for the experience and work within guidelines.
What if I change my mind during labor?
No problem at all. I will always respect your space and step back if needed. You’re in control at all times.
Will my photos be shared online?
Never without your permission. Your story is yours to keep private or share as you choose.
Do I need to ask the hospital for permission?
Yes. Every provider and facility has its own rules. Be sure to confirm that photography is allowed in your birth space.
